"Opens with a blind girl Marika writing a letter to a friend with a Braille typewriter. At once, the portrait describes the way Marika explores and understands the world throughher senses other than sight. The sound of floor surfaces, the smell of products, the feel of books... The portrait not only gives Marika a dignity, but shows how capable and positive she is despite her restrictions.
The observations are tender and beautiful - clearly evolved from spending time with Marika and forming an intimate sensibility for her. There are moments where the portrait has a strong aesthetic - both in image and style of editing”.
